It's a far cry from Ibiza to Nazareth, but Café del Mar brings a touch of the island's attitude to its Northampton County home, even across the great divide of distance.

That's thanks to the spirit of the original Café del Mar established on Ibiza, a Spanish isle in the Mediterranean, more than two decades ago.

So famous is this café for its lush ocean sunsets and the music that accompanies them that a series of CDs celebrates the experience.

While there are certainly no ocean sunsets in Nazareth, there is a sensuality at the Lehigh Valley's own Café del Mar that's reminiscent of an island mindset — an unspoken understanding that it's the things of the moment that matter most.
